At the risk of sounding repetitive, we want to remind our shoppers that the excellent, Black Friday style offers will start arriving soon. Late in November of last year, we received e-mails from a number of shoppers who were looking for deals on a popular item. Unfortunately, some of those deals had come and gone earlier in the month. That’s why we continue to remind our shoppers that some of the hottest deals will appear in the early days of November.
In fact, we’re already starting to see some rather obvious signs that things will heat up considerably in the next few days. Recent announcements from major retailers give us the latest clues. In the past few days, both Target and Best Buy have announced that they will offer free shipping sitewide, with no minimum purchase required, beginning earlier than ever before.
Target will offer free shipping on most orders (some larger or heavier items may still incur an additional fee) beginning on November 1 and lasting through Christmas Day. They will also offer free returns through the same period.
Best Buy has already started shipping orders for free. All orders are eligible to receive free shipping as of yesterday, 10/24. The retailer typically requires a minimum purchase of $35 for orders to be eligible for free shipping. They will continue to offer this promotion until January 2 of 2016.
That is the earliest we have seen this promotion begin for either store, and we believe a rather obvious sign that the best deals of the holiday shopping season will begin to appear soon.
