It’s a nice price for a big name convertible laptop with a touchscreen and SSD. Ending on March 6, Amazon is offering the Dell Inspiron 11 i3158-3275SLV 11.6″ Laptop for a low $429.99. With free shipping included, you’re getting quite a nice price for a very versatile “this generation” machine.
It comes in a 2 in 1 design, meaning it can be used as a standard laptop, of course, but it uses a 360 degree hinge so you can also use it as a large tablet if you so desire, or position it in “Tent Mode” for viewing and tapping while you eat, or maybe “Stand Mode” so you can watch a movie without seeing the keyboard at all. The 11.3″ display size, along with just 3 pounds of total weight, and a maximum thickness of just under an inch, make it plenty portable.
Speaking of the display, it’s an edge to edge model, so the bezel takes up little no room. It offers HD visuals in 1366 x 768 maximum resolution, and of course touch functionality so you can swipe all you want. Windows 10 is pre-installed, and having used it will say that it’s probably the best OS from Microsoft yet, especially where touchscreen usage is involve.
The 6th generation i3-6100U Skylake processor from Intel is certainly above average in it’s category, with 2.3GHz speed on a regular basis. 4GB of DDR3L SDRAM comes on board when you receive it. A 128GB Solid State Drive cuts load times by a significant amount.
